Mobility Roadshow 2009

2 of the 3 days at the roadshow this year were fantastic weather, in fact probably too hot on the Thursday!

In terms of visitors to our stand at least, this year has to be our best ever. Thursday was so busy from the time the show opened to when it closed that not one of us got time to grab a drink or any food all day, which was actually a good thing!

We tried to make our stand a bit more interesting this year with a couple of flatscreens showing our latest videos, some static displays with pictures and more information, and simple things like brochure dispensers - all sound pretty boring on their own, but with the addition of the demonstration Wav-Evolution and WavEvo Lite the stand stayed busy for the whole 3 days.

Because we were that busy we didn't really get time to have a good look around at the other new things on display, but we did see some great new wheelchairs that pointed towards future designs.

We got some excellent feedback on our new WavEvo Lite (www.wavevolite.co.uk) and a lot of suggestions and ideas direct from customers on some further features they would like to see, as well of course a lot of interest in a driver version!

One of the things that we got asked a lot about this year, more so than any other was the option of an internal transfer conversion. Quite a few customers individually approached us and asked if it would be possible to automate the door and ramp and then transfer over to the drivers seat.

We can't see a problem with this at all. The only thing extra that may be necessary would be some extended seat runners to move the drivers seat back a bit further to ensure there is adequate room to move legs between the centre console and seat base.

This wasn't something that we expected such an interest in, and hasn't be something that many people have asked us about previously, so it was good to get some new ideas for free!

Over the next few months we'll be introducing the WavEvo Lite to the Motability scheme and should have some ideas of the advance payments as such.

In the meantime, head over to our twitter accounts listed below for some pictures from the show:
