Available from today, KIA have announced details of the new specification facelift Sedona.

The Sedona now features from the new "Tiger-Nose" family grille already present on the Kia Soul and Magentis models and that will soon feature on the Rio and Cee'd models.

The biggest change for buyers will be the launch of a brand new engine setup which replaces the outgoing 2.9 Diesel powertrain. All Sedona models now come with a new more powerful yet more efficient 2.2 CRDi Diesel engine offering 192bhp (a power increase of 9bhp).

Although seemingly a small power hike, 0-60 acceleration increases to 11.3 seconds from the previous 13.2 and fuel efficiency rises some 16% with combined MPG at 42.2 compared to the previous 36.2

The previous 2.7 V6 Petrol engine is now no longer available, but with new 6 speed manual or automatic gearboxes in the 2.2 CRDi engine there are options to suit all.

The previous trim levels of GS, LS and TS are now replaced with the easier 1,2 and 3 models respectively. Also deleted is the option of the automatic gearbox in GS or '1' trim.

Level '1' specification (previously GS) stays the same.

Level '2' specification (previously LS) benefits from iPod integration and an innovative reversing camera as seen on the KIA Soul. Fitted with a Electrochromic Rear View Mirror which features a small LCD video display when reverse gear is selected allowing the driver to see exactly what is behind the vehicle.

Level '3' specificaion (previously TS) benefits from both the iPod connectivity and the reversing camera, as well as offering Electronic Stability Control (ESC) inlcluding Traction Control and Brake Assist Systems.

As well as this, '3' models also feature a new electric Tailgate - a real boon for those people who struggled with the height or weight of the original.

2 previous colour choices - Indigo Blue and Glacier Blue have now been discontinued, with the colour choices available now being:

• Glacier White
• Midnight Black
• Clear Silver
• Titanium Silver (Not available on '1' trim)
• Regency Red (Not availanle on '1' trim)
